Here’s
an exclusive and funny report from ENZO aka Hulaboy3 for Drowned
Madonna:
Madonna left New York tonight (Tues July 31) at 10:30 pm.
She took a British airways flight back to London. She was
with Angela Becker and her new assistant. There were about
4 fans and 2 paparazzi, no security at all, only her driver.
You were able to go up to talk to her if you wanted - very
quiet, no one said anything, just took our photos and video.
We watched Madonna go through airport security. She
had to take her shoes, jewelry etc off. Three times she went
through the metal detector and set it off. Each time she went
back and had to take off more jewlery or something else. On
the third try, she passed the detector without it beeping
and she turned around with her arms raised in celebration
that she made it through.
it was really crazy cause Madonna is like a baby, first she
tried to take off her bracelet and she couldn't undo the clasp
and so she put her hand out for Angela to do it. The next
time it was her watch she had to take off and once again she
couldn't do it and just stuck her arm out for Angela to take
it off for her.
All in all though, she looked much better in person than they
usually make her look in photos. Her arms looked nice, her
skin and face looked beautiful. Not too old or too skinny
or anything like that that we always hear.
Here are 2 pics that Enzo aka Hulaboy3 took. |

| A
truly Madge dash around Manhattan! |
|
|
Could
Madonna be throwing her material weight behind Hillary Clinton's
presidential run?
TMZ spies caught Her Madgesty spending almost two hours at
the Harlem headquarters of President Bill Clinton's charitable
foundation yesterday afternoon, but neither Madonna's nor
Bill's camp would confirm Madge's presence. Madonna hasn't
endorsed any of the 2008 hopefuls, but the Clinton Foundation
has been the biggest single donor to Madonna's Raising Malawi
effort -- and she and Bill have worked together on medical
relief for the African nation.
Still, Madonna wasn't seen anywhere near the Lexington Avenue
HQ of Hillary's campaign. She was, however, spotted by TMZ's
cameras all over the city, from her morning workout on the
Upper West Side, to checking out artist-director Julian Schnabel's
new apartment building in the West Village, then up to Bill's
in Harlem and ending up in Midtown at the offices of HarperCollins,
which co-publishes her kiddie lit.

Madonna
was spotted with a shorter hair do as she left a late night
meeting, that also involved two movie screenings with a friend
in midtown Manhattan. As she arrived home she could be seen
carrying what appeared to be several different scarves. Perhaps
she is working on a new style or she pick some gifts up throughout
her day. Either way it’s just great to see a picture
of Madonna that doesn’t involve her leaving a gym class. |

Rosenberg on Madonna's new album |

Could
a 17-second snippet of a song called "Candy Shop"
be a leak from Madonna's upcoming album? Fans speculate that
it's of a track Madonna was working on with either Timbaland
or Pharrell — but reps for none of the three camps would
confirm. "I have no comment about the song 'Candy Shop,'
" Madonna's longtime rep Liz Rosenberg told MTV News.
"Madonna has studio time booked and is continuing to
work on her new CD. The songs are not mixed, and until that
time, we can't finalize the track list." The yet-untitled
album is due later this year. |

Advert Escapes Censorship |
|

Pop
superstar Madonna's controversial advertisement for clothing
giant H&M has been given the green light by British television
censors.
The commercial, which sees the singer observing a young girl
getting whipped and stripped by two men, was accused of encouraging
paeodophilia by the U.K audience.
But the watchdog Advertising Standards Authority (asa) dismissed
the claims, insisting the commercial was "artistic".
They also said the actress in the commercial is 24-years-old
and insist she is not dressed in the style of a young girl.
However, the Asa agreed the advertisement would not be broadcast
during children's television programmes. |

| Madonna
eyes $100M Live Nation Mega-deal |
| Madonna
is pondering hanging up on Warner Music Group in
favor of life without a traditional record contract. |
|
|
With
the Material Girl's existing pact with Warner Music Group's
Warner Bros. Records winding down, her camp is considering
an all-encompassing music deal with touring giant Live Nation
that could be worth more than $100 million.
An agreement, if struck, would create an entity that would
manage all Madonna-related businesses, including albums, touring,
merchandise and sponsorships over a multi-year period. Live
Nation would acquire an equity stake in the pop diva's overall
business.
The joint venture company would then look to enter into an
agreement with a label to handle distribution and marketing
support of any Madonna album releases.
Madonna is currently in London working with A-list names like
Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Timbaland on the follow-up
to 2005's "Confessions on a Dancefloor." It's the
last studio album due under her existing pact with Warner
and is tentatively scheduled for release later this year.
Warner Bros. Records Chairman and CEO Tom Whalley, Madonna
spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg and Live Nation all declined to
comment.
Privately, insiders regard the Live Nation talk as the opening
salvo in what figures to be an extended re-negotiation of
her deal, which was last extended in 2000.
Sources say her camp has also been shopping to other labels
the joint venture concept, which follows in the vein of deals
inked by EMI with Korn and Robbie Williams.
"Confessions" - a commercial and critical comeback
from 2003's disappointing "American Life," was Madonna's
first album with the existing Warner management team of WMG
CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr., U.S. Recorded Music CEO Lyor Cohen
and Whalley.
It has sold over 1.6 million copies in the U.S. and spawned
a successful world tour that ranked as the top grossing series
ever for a female artist. The 60-date tour generated over
$193 million in reported revenues. |

Madonna-Justin Timberlake Track 'Candy Shop' Leaked
Online |
|
|
A
clip of Madonna's collaboration with Justin Timberlake has
allegedly been leaked online.
The track, entitled "Candy Shop," popped up on several
websites, including putfile.com, but it was removed due to
copyright issues (you can still find here, however). The dace-floor-ready,
sugary-sweet tune has Madonna chiming, "Get up out of
your seat, come on up to the dance floor, I got something
to see. Come on up to the front, boy. I got I need candy in
me," while a funky, quick-tempo beat bounces below. What
sounds like a male's voice, perhaps Timberlake's, also echoes
in the background, engaging in a dialogue with Madonna.
The track is suspected to be one of the songs the queen of
pop is working on with Timberlake and Timbaland, who have
both been producing songs and lending vocals to the track.
Pharrell Williams and Mika have also been tapped for the project. |

|
A BMW 7-Series owned by the original Material
Girl Madonna is for sale on Auto Trader.
Madge is the only owner of this 2002 BMW 745 Li, which boasts
a range of luxury features.
Powered by a 4.4-litre V8, the Beemer produces 333bhp and
332lb/ft of pulling power.
This enables the 2.5-ton monster to rocket from 0-62mph (100kph)
in 6.3 seconds before running out of puff at an electronically
limited 155mph.
Inside, the saloon – which cost £61,000 new –
is fitted with sat-nav, TV, air-con, Nappa leather seats and
all-round electrics.
The BMW sits on 19-inch alloys and also features anti-lock
brakes, traction control and six airbags.
Madonna is the world’s most famous pop princess, gaining
massive chart success over the past 20 years.
She recently headlined the Live Earth gig at Wembley stadium
– an event organised by former US presidential candidate
Al Gore to highlight climate change.
However, Madge’s BMW isn’t the greenest vehicle.
Its large V8 engine manages a combined fuel economy of 24.4mpg
and emits 280g/km of carbon dioxide meaning an annual tax
bill of £300 per year.
And it’s not the first car we’ve featured on Auto
Trader to belong to musical royalty.
Over the past six months, cars owned by Robbie Williams, Gary
Barlow, Pete Townshend and Frank Sinatra have all appeared
on Auto Trader.
We even had a BMW M5 owned by Madonna’s husband, film
director Guy Ritchie on the site.
Now you can get your hands on Madonna’s BMW –
which has covered 98,000 miles – for £15,995.

| World
watches as Sophie sings with Madonna |
|
|
|
|
|
Sophie Crawford, 16, a pupil
at Channing School in Highgate, shares the stage with Madonna
at Wembley Stadium on Saturday before a global audience of
billions.
The youngster was one of 40 singers from Finchley Children's
Music Group, who backed the pop legend during her headline
performance in the London leg of the Live Earth extravaganza.
Sophie, who lives in Stoke Newington, said: "It
was really incredible. It went past in a flash because it
was sort of mind-boggling, particularly with all those people
shouting at you. It was a pretty insane experience, ridiculously
exciting.
"But it was not very nerve-racking because of all the
adrenaline. It's one of the best concerts I've done. I'm only
16 so it's a really crazy thing to do."
The troupe, around half of whom were from Haringey, backed
the singer on Hey You, a song she penned especially for the
concert.
Organised by ex-US vice president Al Gore, it was beamed around
the world to 120 countries and an estimated audience of more
than two billion viewers.
Maddie Howe, 14, of Farrer Road, Hornsey,
also a Channing School pupil, said: "It
was one of the best experiences of my life. It was so fun
- I want to do it again. The atmosphere was so vibrant.
"Madonna was really nice. She took time for each girl
individually to talk about how they should do their hair.
She said I want everyone's fringes up and we were like, OK."
Ben Turner, 11, of Hawthorn Avenue, Bounds
Green, said: "My favourite part
was standing on stage in the pitch dark and then the lights
coming on and standing in front of 60,000 people. I had a
lot of fun. Madonna was great."
Ben's mum Carolyn Gilbey, the group's administrator, revealed
how a phone call out of the blue a month ago sparked an extraordinary
journey into the limelight.
She said: "We're just a choir of
ordinary school kids from north London more used to singing
Mozart than Madonna. One day the phone rang and a voice said,
'Hi, I'm Angela, I'm Madonna's manager'."
The group beat off fierce competition from other choirs at
auditions to land the once-in-a-lifetime chance to perform
with the star. |

| A
musical version of Madonna's 1985 film Desperately
Seeking Susan is set for London's West End |
|
|
The stage show will incorporate several hits by New York
new wave act Blondie, as well as an original song penned
by the band's lead singer, Debbie Harry.
"The story just works with the lyrics," said Harry,
62. "I thought it was a good idea, really smart."
Madonna made her acting debut in the original film, a tale
of mistaken identity. The musical opens in October.
Emma Williams, who dropped out of West End musical The Sound
of Music to make way for Connie Fisher, will take on Madonna's
role.
Kelly Price, who recently appeared in the West End production
of Guys and Dolls, will play Roberta Glass - played by Rosanna
Arquette in the film. The story revolves around Glass, a
bored suburban housewife who becomes fascinated with Susan
after reading about her in the personal ads of a New York
newspaper.
A series of unlikely, semi-farcical, events lead to Glass
developing amnesia and temporarily swapping lives with Susan.
Trend-setting The
film came just as Madonna achieved the first peak of her
success in 1985.
Her first UK number one, Into The Groove, accompanied the
movie's release, and her self-styled costume for the film
- skirts over leggings, lacy gloves, giant hair bows and
sunglasses - set a trend that lasted for several years.
It is also one of the few Madonna films to be warmly welcomed
by critics - although it was Arquette who picked up a Bafta
for her role in the movie.
But Williams, who is 24, admitted she had not seen the film
before rehearsals because she was "too young"
to have caught it in cinemas.
She said her portrayal of Susan would be a "cross between
Madonna and Debbie Harry," with influences from rock
star Courtney Love.
Faithful adaptation
The musical was conceived by US writer, director and actor
Peter Michael Marino, whose other writing projects include
Hollywood Nurses, a homage to lesbian pulp novels of the
1950s.
Debbie Harry has penned new song Moment of Truth for the
show
Producer Susan Gallin assured fans the show would be "very
close to the movie".
"The story is universal. It's a quirky, off-beat movie
about women who change their lives and end up with the lives
that they were meant to have.
"I asked Debbie if I could send her the treatment -
that was a Friday - and by Monday she called and said 'it's
great, I love it. Let's do it'. She just loved the idea."
Among the Blondie songs set to feature in the show are Heart
of Glass, One Way or Another and The Tide Is High.
The production will open at London's Novello Theatre on
October 12.
"Hopefully it will be a huge success," said Harry.
"I would love it to come to Broadway."

| Madonna
ends UK Live Earth concert in spectacular style |
|
|
|
Over 100 of the biggest music acts of past
and present came together this weekend to wow audiences around
the world for a good cause. And pulling out all the stops
at the close of the London show of Live Earth - a series of
global concerts to help raise awareness of environmental issues
- was the queen of pop, Madonna.
Gyrating on stage in a figure-hugging
spandex outfit, the Material Girl stormed through her hits
- including La Isla Bonita, Hung Up and Ray Of Light - in
front of 80,000 fans in a sold-out Wembley Stadium. Closing
her set with Hey You, specially penned for the event, she
urged the crowd: "If you want to save the planet let
me see you jump."
Music veteran Madonna was the jewel in the crown of the London
gig's star-studded line-up, which also included Duran
Duran, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and indie rockers Razorlight.
Her performance was just part of the marathon 22-hour event,
which featured concerts in nine cities on six continents,
including Sydney, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Hamburg. The global
bash finally drew to close at 4am on Sunday morning with a
performance by the Police in New Jersey.
And it wasn't just music stars helping deliver an eco-friendly
message. At the American concert Hollywood beauty Cameron
Diaz joined event organiser US Vice President Al Gore on stage,
while Leonardo DiCaprio helped introduce bands who included
Bon Jovi and Alicia Keys - who performed with Nicole Kidman's
husband Keith Urban.
Over the course of the weekend the musical extravaganza reached
over two billion viewers, but it wasn't just members of the
audience organisers were targeting. Stars performing at the
concerts were given a 66-page guide – the Green Artist
Handbook - giving them tips about how to be eco friendly,
including not taking private planes and petrol-guzzling limos. |

Answers Environmental Critics |
|
|
|
Madonna has hit back at critics who slammed
her as hypercritical for agreeing to headline the UK leg of
Live Earth, despite investing heavily in companies that pollute
the planet.
The singer defended herself against criticism from green campaigners
by insisting that she is still learning about environmental
issues.
Her spokesperson said, "Madonna's
agreement to sing at the Live Earth event is merely one of
the first steps in her commitment to being environmentally
responsible.
“She is educating herself and her family and has begun
to make changes around her that reflect her awareness and
concern for the future of the planet."
The Live Earth concerts, intended to raise awareness of climate
change, were staged in nine locations worldwide over the weekend,
including Tokyo, Johannesburg, New Jersey and Rio de Janeiro.

specific. She had very energetic visions but at the same time
there was a lot of room for me to do my own thing.
"It was super fun and perfectly respectable, and it ended
up being quite a collaborative project," says Hutz, who
contributed some dialogue for the script of the 45-minute
piece, which also stars Richard E. Grant ("Gosford Park,"
"Spice World") and Stephen Graham ("Snatch,"
"Gangs of New York").
The part did require Hutz to dress in drag, however. "(Madonna)
said, 'How do you feel about dressing up as a woman?'"
Hutz recalls. "I said, 'Well, as long as it's a woman
with a moustache, I'm there."
Gogol Bordello also performs in the film -- which is expected
to debut at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival -- and the soundtrack
uses three of the band's songs. "I'd heard from mutual
friends for a couple of years that she was big fan of Gogol
Bordello," Hutz says. "Eventually I learned that
from her in person."
Hutz, of course, is no stranger to high-profile film roles,
having co-starred with Elijah Wood in 2005's "Everything
Is Illuminated." He still considers himself as Gogol
Bordello's frontman first and foremost, but he feels the film
projects work to the benefit of the band.
"I think there's a lot of people who found out about
Gogol Bordello from ('Everything is Illuminated')" says
Hutz, "and a lot of people who found out about the movie
through Gogol Bordello. We were never a mainstream band, but
I think (the film) brought a new audience, for sure, that's
kind of mixed in with our previous hardcore audience."
Gogol Bordello's fourth album, "Super Taranta!,"
comes out tomorrow (July 10) via Side One Dummy. |

Madonna has brought an impressive Live Earth
to an impressive close, with a huge treat-filled performance.
The Queen of Pop shined like a polished eco car on the giant
stage, as she has done for the past 20 years, delivering a
set full of planet-saving messages, special guests, swearing
and dozens of fit backing dancers with their bits out.
Madonna kicked things off with 'Hey You', the specially penned
song full of urges to everyone to do their bit for the planet,
for which she brought out a load of smiley school-kids to
provide backing vocals.
'If you wanna save the planet, I wanna
see you jump up and down!' said Madonna as she took
things up a notch for 'Ray Of Light' armed with her guitar.
'Come on, motherf*ckers! Jump!'
And jump they did. As did Madonna in her heels and guitar.
'I’d like to take this opportunity
to thank Al Gore for giving the world the wake up call it
so badly needs,' she said, while catching her post-'Ray
Of Light' breath. 'And for starting
an avalanche of awareness that we’re running out of
time.'
'Tonight’s concert is not just
about entertainment, it’s about a revolution. Amen.'
Then she brought out two of her mates from Gogol Bordello
to join her for a rip-roaring, and wonderfully weird, performance
of 'La Isla Bonita', which saw the Bordello boys screaming
and thrashing their guitar and violin like they were on fire.
And to bring the whole day and night to a close was 'Hung
Up', complete with loads of topless backing dancers showing
off their six-packs and pretty nipples, disco lights, and
some audience participation befitting the giant stadium event.
'Time goes by....so slowly!' screamed the thousands of Live
Earth attendees.
Top stuff from the Queen Of Pop.
Props to the organisers of Live Earth, it’s been something
special. Now it’s over to you to save the planet. Do
your bit or Madonna will bite your legs off. |

plea to jump into action |

Pop queen Madonna got 70,000 people on their
feet demanding action on climate change in a stunning finale
to the London leg of Live Earth.
The singer was the highlight of the event, which also featured
the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, the Black Eyed Peas,
Kasabian and even spoof band Spinal Tap.
She began her set with a song especially written for Live
Earth, the controversial anti-global warming event billed
as the 'greatest show on earth'.
Dozens of school children in school uniform sang along to
Hey You, while footage showed images including polluting factories.
But the biggest moment came when the 48-year-old star called
on the crowd to get to their feet.
Thousands cheered as she told the audience:
'If you want to save the planet I want you to start jumping
up and down.'
Wearing a black dress and her hair in Thirties-style ringlets,
Madonna thanked former US Vice President Al Gore 'for giving
the world the wake-up call it so badly needs and for starting
an avalanche of awareness that we are running out of time'.
'Lets hope tonight's concert and the
concerts going on around the world are not just about entertainment
but starting a revolution around the world,' she said.
'This is your last chance to show that
you care about the planet.'
The stadium switched off all but essential lighting for a
few symbolic moments before Madonna took to the stage. |

Madonna's white-suited Live8 performance,
with its gospel choir, emotional tribute to Birhan Woldu and
a whole lotta F-bombs, was one of that event's most memorable
moments. At Live Earth, the Material Mom opted for black silk,
Spandex, her incomparable decollete and a decidedly cleaner
mouth. |

FANS REVIEWS
& PICS FROM LIVE EARTH IN LONDON |
 |
| Review
by Neil Symons from Maidenhead, Berkshire UK |
|

After
standing in the front row end of catwalk for a long long day
yesterday indulge me with some ponderings!
Madonna has an unrivalled sense of occassion, we know that.
At any given special performance, she knows when to pull out
the big guns. Sure there have been some poor misguided souls
thinking that "Swim" or "Why Its So Hard"
would have been appropriate for the event.
Looking back, would these people really have changed anything
from her performance last night? No, not a thing.

| Pop superstar
Madonna closed the London leg of Live Earth on Saturday
with a bizarre remix of her hit La Isla Bonita -
performed with New York gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello.
The Material Girl started her set debuting new track
Hey You, before singing Ray Of Light and then Isla
Bonita, which she sang partly in the Romany language,
alongside musicians Eugene Hutz and Yuri Lemeshev. |
|
|
|
She finished her performance with Hung Up.
Madonna called on the crowd to remember the Live Earth message,
saying from the stage, "I'd like to thank Al Gore and
Kevin Wall (Live Earth organisers) for giving the world the
wake-up call it needs. Let's these concerts aren't about entertainment,
and that they start a revolution." |

| Madonna
gets 2 billion feet tapping |
Madonna
and Gogol Bordello set the world's feet tapping
as the megastar rocked the London leg of the Live
Earth gigs which were beamed to 2 billion people.
After a drumming set by the Foo Fighters' Taylor
Hawkins, the Red Hot Chili Pepper's Chad Smith and
Roger Taylor from Queen opened the UK event, a newly-reformed
Genesis played hits including Turn It On Again and
Land of Confusion. |
|
|
|
Razorlight followed, playing Before I Fall
to Pieces and America while Snow Patrol thrilled the crowed
with Open Your Eyes, Shut Your Eyes and Chasing Cars. Other
acts included Kasabian, Paolo Nutini and Black Eyed Peas.
Duran Duran played four of their hits, including Planet Earth
and Ordinary World while the Chili's set included Dani California,
So Much I and By the Way.
Wearing a below-the-knee puff-sleeved dress, matching knee-length
leggings and black patent Mary-Janes, the star of the show,
Madonna, took to the stage for her performance of Hey You
where she was joined by a choir of schoolchildren.
She then strummed an electric guitar to Ray of Light before
bursting into La Isla Bonita accompanied by cult New York
Gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello
Madonna thanked Al Gore, the brainchild of the nine concerts
across the globe, "for giving the world the wake-up call
it so badly needs and for starting an avalanche of awareness
that we are running out of time".
She said: "Lets hope tonight's concert and the concerts
going on around the world are not just about entertainment
but starting a revolution around the world. If you want to
save the planet let me see you jump."
The Material Girl singer closed the London event with a blistering
rendition of her disco hit Hung Up.
The events had begun in Sydney, where the line-up included
Crowded House, and carried on to Tokyo, Johannesburg, Shanghai,
London, Hamburg, New Jersey, Washington and Rio de Janeiro.
American audiences saw acts including The Police, Kanye West,
Bon Jovi, Smashing Pumpkins and Taking Back Sunday.
The concerts were carbon neutral, with all energy to Wembley
Stadium and the other venues supplied by renewable sources. |
